Cookie Policy
Last updated: 26 May 2026.
Ideoworks s.r.o. (“Ideoworks”, “we”, “us”) operates the Spock website at spockoffice.com (the “Website”) and the leave-management service available through Slack (the “Service”). This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies we use on the public Website, why we use them, and how you can control them.
This policy is written to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC, the UK GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. We also use related technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage; for the purposes of this policy we treat them the same as cookies.
Cookies can be:
- First-party — set by spockoffice.com, or
- Third-party — set by services we embed (for example, an analytics provider).
They can also be session cookies (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent cookies (kept until they expire or you delete them).
2. Categories we use
We classify cookies into the following categories. Only strictly necessary cookies are set without your consent; all others require you to opt in via our cookie banner.
- Strictly necessary — required to operate the Website, sign you in, keep your session secure, and remember your cookie preferences. These cannot be disabled.
- Analytics — help us understand which pages are visited and how the Website is performing. On our public marketing pages we use only privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics, so no analytics cookies are placed.
- Functional — not currently used on the public Website.
- Marketing / advertising — not currently used. We do not run behavioural advertising on this site.
3. Cookies and storage we actually set
The table below lists every cookie and storage key the public Website sets at the time of the last update. We review it whenever we change tooling.
| Name | Provider | Type | Category | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
complianceCookie |
spockoffice.com | Cookie (first-party) | Strictly necessary | Remembers that you have dismissed the cookie banner so it is not shown on every page. | 14 days |
sessionid |
spockoffice.com | Cookie (first-party) | Strictly necessary | Set only after you sign in. Keeps you authenticated to the Spock dashboard. | 2 weeks (or until sign-out) |
csrftoken |
spockoffice.com | Cookie (first-party) | Strictly necessary | Protects against cross-site request forgery on forms. | 1 year |
The public marketing site uses Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights ehf., Iceland) to count visits. Plausible is GDPR-compliant by design and runs without setting any cookies or storing identifiers in your browser. No personal data is collected and no profile is built. See plausible.io/data-policy.
If, in the future, we add a cookie or third-party tag (for example, a support chat widget or a marketing tool), we will only load it after you give consent and we will update this table.
4. What we do NOT do on the marketing site
- We do not run Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, TikTok Pixel, or any other behavioural-advertising tracker on spockoffice.com.
- We do not use the Help Scout chat widget on public pages. It is available only inside the authenticated dashboard for customers who choose to contact support that way.
- We do not sell or share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioural advertising (CCPA/CPRA).
5. How to give, withdraw, or change consent
When you first visit the Website, no analytics or marketing cookies are set. Strictly necessary cookies (see the table above) are set because the site cannot operate without them — this is permitted by Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive.
If we add optional cookies in the future, you will be able to:
- Accept or reject them via the cookie banner that appears on first visit.
- Change your choice at any time by clicking the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
- Withdraw your consent with one click. Withdrawal will be just as easy as giving it.
You can also manage or delete cookies directly in your browser. Most browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, Brave) let you block all cookies, block third-party cookies, or delete cookies on exit. Note that blocking strictly-necessary cookies will sign you out of the dashboard and prevent some forms from working.
We honour the Global Privacy Control signal (Sec-GPC: 1) and the browser Do Not Track setting where they apply.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port the personal data we hold about you, and to object to its processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact support@spockoffice.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we change the tools we use or when the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be announced on the Website before they take effect.
